Dr. Amélie Lachapelle

Amélie is a Professor of Law at the University of Namur where she teaches Environmental and Sustainability Law, Law & Ecological Transition, Comparative Law, Economic Law and Human Rights Law. Amélie is also a Senior Researcher at the Namur Digital Institute (NaDI) and at the Research Center in Information, Law and Society (CRIDS), where she is currently leading a collective research project titled “Searching for truth in times of crisis”.

Amélie was awarded the governmental project for the implementation of the EU Directive on Whistleblowers in Belgium. She published several articles and book chapters on whistleblowing, the digital era and human rights, and has spoken on these topics at various conferences. She co-edited a collective book about sustainability and ICT and wrote a country report on tax transparency. Her PhD thesis dealt with reporting in the age of (tax) whistleblowers.
