Dr. Erika Kovács

Erika is an Associate Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She holds a PhD in Collective Labor Law from Trier University and a degree from the University of Pécs. Her research focuses on European and Austrian Labor Law and Social Security and she has been involved in numerous international research projects funded by governments and research foundations in various European countries.
Erika is the author of a book on Article 30 of the European Charter of Fundamental Rights (protection against unjustified dismissal) and a commentary on the Whistleblowing Directive. She has written several articles and lectured on the transposition of the Whistleblowing Directive into Austrian law. In 2023, Erika organized an international conference on whistleblowing in Vienna, the papers of which will be published in the International Journal of Comparative Labor Law and Industrial Relations.
