Vojtěch Hanzal

Vojtěch is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Prague. His doctoral research centers on the challenges of whistleblowing in the Czech Republic, examining key issues before and after the implementation of the EU Directive 1937/2019. In addition, Vojtěch is the principal investigator of the grant-funded project “Whistleblowing: Legal Aspects and Challenges”, which aims to address complex issues in this field, drawing on European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) case law and international comparisons. Vojtěch practices as an associate at a law firm specializing in labor law and is also an active member of the Czech Society for Labor and Social Security Law. Vojtěch publishes extensively in the area of whistleblowing and, in one of his recent publications, he explores the impact of the Halet v. Luxembourg case on whistleblower protections.
